Day 3 brought more exciting matches to Redlands with mixed results. NSW had a strong day, starting with a win against Vic, 6-0 and an easy win over WA, 9-0. SA also started strongly with a win against Tasmania, 6-1 before going down to Qld later in the day, 6-1. Qld had previously taken care of WA, 10-1, capping off another impressive day for the hosts, who sit second on the ladder at the end of Day 3. Tasmania and ACT fought out a tight match on Diamond 6 before the low scoring affair ended 1-0 Tassie’s way to achieve their maiden win for the tournament. Kate Armstrong doubled to send teammate, Jade Farrell, home for the only run of the game.
SA and WA took until the 9th inning tiebreak to end the day’s play. WA’s Brittany Keen singled and sent runner Rachel Leong home in the top of the 9th before Shae Muggridge pitched out the bottom to cement the win.

U15 Regional Championship
Day 3 started with state rivals, NSW Country Gold and Qld Fire, going head to head, with Fire taking out the win 4-2. ACT was strong against WA for their first game of the day, winning 9 – 2. Qld Fire continued with their big hitting to secure their second win of the day over SA Blue 11-1. SA Red started the day with a 7-4 win over WA before going down to equal top placed side, NSW Metro Green 11-1. Metro Green continued to dominate SA’s with an 11-1 win over SA Blue. NSW Metro Orange also continued to dominate winning both their games, 14-4 over Victoria and 9-1 over Qld Flames.
