U19 Men’s National and U15 Boys’ Regional Championships start Sunday at Blacktown

The competition for the  U19 Men’s National Champion, playing for the Nox Bailey Shield, starts today in Blacktown, NSW. Six teams – NSW, Qld, WA, Tas, Vic and ACT, will participate in the double round-robin tournament that concludes on Saturday 23 February. This tournament will see players show their skills to national selectors as selectors look to set the roster that will represent Australia at the WBSC 11th Jr Men’s Softball World Championship to be played in Michigan, USA in July.

NSW enters the tournament as two-time defending champions has won the most Nox Bailey Shields with 10 victories.

The U15  Boys’ Regional Softball Championship will also be held in Blacktown, NSW. Six teams, including three from host NSW, two Qld and ACT, will participate in the double round-robin tournament with the Championship final scheduled for Saturday 23 February.

Qld Thunder won the U15 Boys’ Regional Championship in 2015.
