Sporting Schools update

The Sporting Schools Program continues to pick up steam. Term 4 programs have started, we have made good progress with regards to getting coaches ready to coach in the program.

Softball Australia has endorsed over 140 coaches nationally, enabling us to increase capacity and work towards filling all softball program requests. The below table shows the demand for the program where schools have indicated they would like to try a Softball Sporting Schools program.

Become a Sporting Schools Softball Coach

To become a softball coach for Sporting Schools you must register on the Sporting Schools website and then be endorsed by Softball Australia.

To register visit https://www.sportingschools.gov.au/get-involved/coaches.

You will need a minimum coaching accreditation and a working with children check to complete your registration. To be endorsed by Softball Australia you will need to have a softball specific accreditation such as:

  • Softball Community Coach
  • Level 1 Coach or higher
