Softball Australia is pleased to launch an all new Softball Batter Up (SBU) online store with a cash injection for all registered Associations to celebrate.
The one stop shop will house all Softball Batter Up products required for successful clinics including complete kits, individual items and apparel.
To get things rolling, Softball Australia will provide every Association registering to host a SBU program, $100 credit for the online store to assist in the running of the Program.
“We began re-energising the SBU program in 2019 with the help of DMC Sport who specialise in providing equipment for junior sporting programs across the globe,” said David Pryles, Chief Executive Officer at Softball Australia.
“They have created the SBU starter packs we’re beginning to see at Associations across the country and they’ll now host an online store for the entire SBU range.
“This is a fantastic step forward for softball Associations and ensures we can efficiently and effectively grow the junior development program in a timely fashion.”
DMC sport is an International business, globally recognised for their work with sporting brands game development, participation and membership programs including the AFL and English Cricket Board.
“We’re delighted to be providing an online platform for the softball community and Softball Australia,” said Dino DiPeirdomenico, Managing Director at DMC Sport.
The launch of the online store heads up a significant push in spreading the SBU program to an audience outside of the softball community in an effort to increase membership across the country.
Softball Australia has also been offering various SBU coaching courses for free to the public to ensure coaches are prepared once the current COVID-19 restrictions allow for a return to junior sport in their respective states.
“We see the SBU program as the perfect tool for Clubs and Associations to grow their membership base, so we’re continuing to push the message to our own softball community as well as those outside of the sport, and also into schools as well,” added Pryles.
“The program provides the perfect introduction to the sport at the grassroots level, as well as encouraging parents and family members to get involved in their child’s softball journey.”
Valued Softball Australia partner East Coast Car Rentals are excited about the SBU initiative and have offered a further $500 in credit to the online store to be awarded to an Association registered to host a SBU program.
“East Coast Car Rentals are proud to offer this prize to the softball community and see it invested in their own grassroots program,” said Dan Kearney, CEO at East Coast Car Rentals.
All Clubs and Associations currently registered to host SBU programs are automatically in the draw, with all registered programs for the month of July also entered.
A winner will be drawn at random on Wednesday 1 August, 2020.
To be eligible for the initial $100 credit, Associations must be registered to host a SBU program, once confirmed, a unique voucher code will be sent directly to the Association.
