Softball Australia hopes to generate more media exposure and raise the sport’s profile around the country after extending its contract with a leading public relations company.
Flourish PR is tasked with developing a strategic plan, building media relationships and distributing press releases and other information about softball events and players at all levels.
Flourish is also involved, in conjunction with Perfect Events, in organising business luncheons and networking events that help generate awareness to media and potential sponsors.
With softball reinstated into the Olympics for Tokyo 2020, Softball Australia CEO Chet Gray believes the time is right to expand the sport’s reach into the public and business community.
“Over the past 14 months Flourish has given us the opportunity to build our profile through media contacts and with business,” Gray says.
“They have also added a level of professionalism that has produced positive results, both at grassroots level and among the business community.
“We’re happy to continue with and expand on this relationship, which we believe will provide more opportunities with the 2020 Olympics in mind.”
