The South Australia Starz put on a batting clinic while New South Wales continued their winning ways at Mirrabooka International Softball Stadium.
The Starz only required three innings to handle the ACT Diamonds, getting home twice in the 1st inning through Jordan Lambert and Georgia Hood.
Both SA and the ACT were scoreless in the 2nd but the 3rd inning saw an eruption of runs from the Starz to put this one away early.
Lambert and Hood collected their second run each with Victoria McFarland, Madeline Cameron and Belinda White all putting two runs on the board respectively.
Sarah Tonkin, Amber Hood, Lana Kaesler, Sophie King and Chelsea Robinson all contributing to the 13 runs recorded in the impressive inning at bat.
Jailyn Ford only needed to pitch for three innings and kept a clean sheet against the Diamonds, the Starz claimed the blowout win 15-0.
On diamond one, the Firestars kept their unbeaten streak alive with a 6-1 win over the WA Flames. Travelodge Aussie Spirit skipper Stacey Porter was again in fine touch creaming her first home-run of the tournament over the fence in the 3rd inning along with a run in the 1st.
Rachel Lack continued her good form with the bat for the day, adding two runs from her four in today’s first game.
Stacey McManus and Emma Iuliano added a run each to the Firestars total of six.
The WA Flames take on the Victoria Titans later tonight while the Queensland Heat do battle with the ACT Diamonds.
