Rindfleish secures Head Coach role for 2022

Softball Australia are pleased to extend Adam Rindfleish’s tenure as Junior Steelers Head Coach to include the next U18 Men’s World Cup in 2022.

Rindfleish was part of the World Cup winning Coaching Staff for the Junior Steelers in 2018 and was appointed to the Head Coach role for the 2020 World Cup held in New Zealand earlier this year.

The Junior Steelers won a silver medal going down to Japan in what was a Championship Final replay from 2018.

Under Rindfleish, Josh Banks (OF), Josh Routledge (OF), Riley James (3B) and Jeremy Garland (SS) were recognised for their strong tournament by being named in the U18 Men’s World Cup All-World Team.

One of his Assistant Coaches during the World Cup in 2020, David Metekingi, is now Head Coach of the U23 Australian Men’s team.

Dates and venues of the 2022 U18 Men’s World Cup are to be confirmed by the WBSC.
