ACT Fastpitch Softball Association (ACT)

Adam is regarded by many as the best pitcher in the world. With a fastest pitch speed of around 135km/h, he has dominated batting line-ups for a number of years.

Adam has represented ACT at both junior and senior level, collecting 12 individual national championship awards and helping their open men’s team claim nine Australian championship titles between 2006 and 2015.

Even from an early age, Adam was an outstanding prospect. He made his senior debut for the Aussie Steelers at the age of 17, and the following year, led Australia’s U19 Men’s team to world championship victory with a tournament record 98 strikeouts.

In 2009 Adam pitched the Aussie Steelers to their first world championship title with an amazing no-hitter in the final against the reigning champions, the New Zealand Black Sox.

Since 2004 Adam has played in North America at the International Softball Congress (ISC), currently with Hill United Chiefs. The ISC is regarded as the best club tournament in the world and Adam has an exceptional record, including:

  • eight times selected in the All-World team
  • five Most Outstanding Pitcher awards, tied with the legendary Leroy Zimmerman after whom the award is named
  • 39 career wins pitched, equal 9th all time (currently tied with Andrew Kirkpatrick)
  • five championship titles, two with Jarvis Travelers (2010 & 2011), three with Hill United Chiefs (2013-2015)
