Shannon began her softball career later than most, playing for the first time in the U13 competition at Sutherland. But such was her sporting talent, within a few short years she went from rookie to one of the best juniors in the country.

As a fast and powerful athlete, Shannon showed that she was more than capable of playing in multiple positions. In recent years, her speed has suited the centrefield position perfectly at the senior level.

Selected into her first NSW state team in 2014, she has the envious honour of winning every National Championship she has played at – 2014-15 U17 Girls, 2016-17 U19 Women and 2018-2020 Gilley’s Shield (Open Women’s).

In 2017, Shannon was selected into the Junior Spirit team for the World Championship held in the USA and the following year, playing for the NSW Firestars at the Gilley’s Shield, won the Rookie of the Year award.

Making her debut for the senior Australian team at the 2018 Japan Cup, Shannon is a rising star who should be part of the Australian program for many years to come.
