Softball Australia is pleased to announce the team set to compete in the 2020 U18 Men’s World Cup to be held in Palmerston North, New Zealand from 22 February – 1 March.
The team was selected following the 2020 U18 Men’s National Championship where Queensland claimed their fourth straight Nox Bailey Shield defeating New South Wales 3-0.
Queensland’s Riley James has been selected for the Junior Steelers once again after he was part of the Gold Medal winning Australia team in 2018.
Further to the team announcement, Bernie Simai (Physiotherapist) and John Crampton (Video Analyst) have been added to Head Coach Adam Rindfleish’s support staff for Australia’s title defence.
The Junior Steelers will have their first chance to train together at Redlands, Queensland, with a training camp set for 25 – 27 January.
Congratulations to the below Junior Steelers.
