Softball Australia is pleased to announce Jennifer Goolagong and Nicholas Ficinus have been appointed to the Board of Directors.
The pair bring a wealth of experience to the Board with Goolagong’s extensive time in softball set to provide invaluable knowledge from a state perspective.
She has been part of the ACT softball community for the best part of 25 years filling a number of roles from serving on the Softball ACT Board, Director of State teams, and Manager and Scorer roles for Canberra and Wagga Wagga Development teams.
Notably, Goolagong was part of the Softball Australia One Softball Steering Committee having been nominated by the board of Softball ACT.
Professionally, Goolagong has worked as a Public Servant which has seen her gain knowledge and experience in policy development, promotion and stakeholder engagement for a range of programs, advising Cabinet Minister Hon Jenny Macklin on Indigenous Affairs and the development of business requirements for IT systems to deliver funding programs for the Australian Government.

In his previous roles, Ficinus has overseen the development of web-based workflow solutions, successfully managed organisations internationally and brokered significant commercial partnerships.
“We’re really looking forward to Jennifer and Nicholas joining the Softball Australia Board,” said Peter Jon Hartshorne, Chairperson of the Softball Australia Board.
