Friendship Series and Under 23s to join forces

2017 will see the amalgamation of two of Softball Australia’s major events at the same venue in what promises to be one of the biggest softball events of the year. The International Friendship Series (IFS) will be played alongside the Under 23s Combined National Championship in July next year in what will see up to 25+ teams descend upon Redlands Softball Association in Brisbane, Queensland

The IFS, the long standing youth oriented softball tournament, will for the first time be played outside of NSW – moving to Redlands’ large eight diamond softball complex.

Softball Queensland in conjunction with the Redlands Softball Association will be coordinating the event and will host the junior Australia development squads in the event lead up. The junior athletes will be taking part in their first foray into high level coaching and training as a part of Softball Australia’s high performance pathway.
