Aussie Diamonds Tour fees finalised

Aussie Diamonds Tour fees finalised

Softball Australia have released more information for 2020 Aussie Diamonds Pathway tours including costs and activities for those invited to compete.

In 2019, nearly one hundred junior softballers identified as future Australian representatives ventured overseas for a taste of what to expect at the elite level.

The Aussie Diamonds Development Tours, spearheaded by Softball Australia, are designed to provide an insight into what keen softballers aged from 12 to 19 can expect on a regular basis should they choose to pursue their softball careers.

In 2020 a number of opportunities exist for the next generation of Aussie Steelers and Aussie Spirit Stars.

New Zealand, Canada and the United States of America are on the schedule for 2020, as well as four teams selected for the International Friendship Series on home soil.

Vancouver will host one Junior Female Futures team from Australia to compete in the Canada Cup from 4-14 July, just weeks before softball’s return to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

Softball Australia’s travel partner SportsLink International will again ensure the players are well looked after for all their travel and accommodation needs.

“We’re very excited to have the details finalised for the 2020 Aussie Diamonds Tours,” said Brooke Wilkins, Pathway Coordinator at Softball Australia.

“The Tours continue to grow each year after learning from past years, both from an on-diamond and off-diamond experience so the 2020 Tours will be an incredible opportunity for those invited.”
