Softball Australia are pleased to confirm the final Junior Spirit team set to compete in the U-19 Women’s World Cup in Irvine, USA from 11-17 August 2019.
Seventeen players have been selected from the squad of 30 announced last week.
The Junior Spirit side will be looking to improve on their 7th place finish in the last U-19 Women’s World Championship in 2017.
Australia’s best result in the international tournament is bronze which they’ve achieved five times, the latest coming in 2013.
“We’re confident the 17 girls we’ve chosen to compete in the 2019 U-19 Women’s World Cup will represent their country with pride both on and off the diamond in Irvine,” said Chet Gray, Chief Operating Officer at Softball Australia.
“We wish them the best of luck in competing against the world’s best come August.”
